Standard Building Permit Procedures
Applications are picked up and submitted at City Hall.
Each application will be numbered and dated upon receipt.
Applications may be completed by the property owner or an authorized agent.
All applications must include relevant plans, diagrams, computations, and specifications.
-
The Building Inspector will review all applications.
Approved applications are then presented to the City Council.
Permits may be picked up at City Hall after approval and payment of fees.
-
No work may begin until the permit fee is paid and the permit is posted.
Permits must be clearly visible from the street and securely attached to the project site.
Permits may only be removed by the Building Inspector.
-
Permits are valid for 6 months. Contact City Hall or the Building Inspector for extensions if needed.
